Kim Hampton

President and Vice President

Hello LCSC Families. My name is Kim Hampton and I am accepting the nomination for vice president. For those of you that have some questions of who I am let me clarify. I have 4 kids. Mackenzie and Jaydalynn just completed their 3rd year of club and my son Bentley plays hockey along with participating in our annual ice show. I am very active within our club participating in many different positions. Last year I was hospitality chair, decorated for competition and ice show, as well as being this past year’s ice show costume chair. I have a degree in office administration, but I choose to be a stay at home mom and take pride in my family. I like to be involved in my kid’s events and make it enjoyable for all participants. I hope to get the opportunity to participate on the board and to seek all the possibilities the future can have for our skaters.

Carrie Martin

Hello, I’m Carrie Martin and I stay busy transporting my four kids around, especially my oldest daughter Emily, fourteen, to the ice rink. :)

Emily has been skating since her very first Ice Show when she was five. She has been a member of Club for six years, which has offered me the opportunities to serve as a volunteer for LCSC including two years as an Ice Show Chair, two years as Vice President of the Board and on other various committees. I look forward to a chance to serve as Secretary of the Board allowing me to meet new Club members and their families, as well as further get to know familiar faces around the rink!

In my past life, before I committed to being a stay-at-home mom, I worked as a Radiologic Technologist at Riley Hospital for Children. My other children are sixteen-year old Alex, a sophomore at New Tech High school, Elizabeth who is seven, a second grader at Southside Elementary and Abby who is five and attends Pre-K at First Presbyterian Preschool.

Sharon Guest

My name is Sharon Guest. I grew up in Wales but moved to Darlington, County Durham after I met my husband. Me and my family moved to Columbus in 2012 from North Yorkshire, England. My husband is Simon and we are parents to four children Glesni 24, twins Osian and Medi who are 13, and my youngest Lois who is 9 years old.  Lois started skating practically straight away after we moved here, worked her way through all the levels with Parks & Rec and this year was her 5th ice show. We have been members of full club for two years. I volunteered to be Parks & Rec Coordinator the first year of club for the ice show. This year I volunteered to be Ice Show Chair.

I would like to put myself forward for Treasurer this upcoming skate year. I feel I have the background & knowledge for this role. I have taken on various roles in finance for the North Wales Health Authority for almost 10 years, with responsibility for Caernarfon, Bangor, Mold and Wrexham.

My background is not only finance as I did a Management Course at Llandrillo College, North Wales. I took on a management role with the Primary Health Care Trust in England when we moved there from Wales, with responsibility for a team of 70 Health Care Assistants who worked in the community.

We are happy to be living in Columbus and being part of Lincoln Center Skate Club, with great coaches and dedicated parents, who continue to volunteer and give up their time to make this a great club to be part of.
