Happy New Year! I honestly had to look up the date today because the week between Christmas and New Year means having no idea what day it is! :)
I hope everyone was able to enjoy the long break and is ready to get back on schedule!
Monday January 7th - Club will resume it's normal schedule.
Welcome back! We've missed you!
Sunday January 20th - Columbus Invitational
You should have received a SignUp invite email regarding donations and volunteer opportunities for the upcoming competition. We appreciate the donations which have been filled already, but please continue to check the remaining options still available!
As a reminder: ALL volunteers are required to complete the online SafeSport traning through the US Figure Skating Website: https://safesport.org/training
If you are planning on volunteering during the Competition, you must have this completed prior to January 20th. Please let us know if you have any questions or concerns about how to complete the training. The training will also be required of any volunteer opportunities during the Ice Show, so it's a great idea to start the new year off with a SafeSport certification and have it completed! :)
As we start the New Year, we are looking ahead to the quickly-approaching Ice Show!
Monday February 4th - Practices begin for the Ice Show and the Attendance Policy will take effect.
Attendance Policy: As a reminder, each skater is allowed a maximum of two excused absences during the entirety of Ice Show practices and performances. We completely understand that circumstances come up, but we kindly ask that any absences be communicated with your coach in advance, if possible. Failure to meet the Attendance requirements may result in dismissal from the Show. Please do not hesitate to contact the Ice Show Chairs with any questions!
Monday January 7th, 5:30pm - Board Meeting at the rink.
Monday January 21st - Martin Luther King Jr. Day. NO Club.
"Write it on your heart that every day is the best day in the year." -Ralph Waldo Emerson
Cheers to a new year! :)
