Weekly Update: 9/15/19

The days are getting shorter, and so are the weekends! Hoping yours was still full of all the joy that even short weekends can bring!

Group Club Photos:

Monday September 16th 4:45pm - Skaters please wear black pants and a black jacket. If your skater participated in a recent competition such as Tony Todd, Tennessee or Evansville, please also bring any medals they may have received. A photo is also planned for those competitors in hopes of recognizing them in the local newspaper! Photos will take place on the small ice.

Off Ice Classes:

Monday September 16th 6:10pm - 6:40pm - Please take advantage of this Club time to attend Off Ice training with Coach Emma! Skaters please plan to bring the following items if available: a jump rope, a spinner and athletic shoes. This is a great opportunity to strengthen and improve skating skills!

Spirit Wear:

Friday September 20th - Orders are due this Friday for LCSC Spirit Wear! Order forms have been placed in skaters' mailboxes but please let us know if you need one! We can't wait to see our skaters helping to promote Club and wearing the LCSC logo proudly!

Skating Extravaganza & Used Skate Sale:

Saturday September 21st 11am - 3pm - Please have all your used skate sale items ready and tagged by Friday September 20th. Info regarding the Skate Sale was sent via email so please be sure to check your inbox!

President Position Named:

We would like to welcome Kim Hampton in fulfilling the role as LCSC President after Devon Collins' resignation last week. It has been a challenging few years for our Club, but we are looking forward to a smooth transition of positions and moving ahead with a great year! We appreciate the service that our Board members bring to Club!

Probation Status Lifted:

We are more than happy to announce that the probationary status placed on LCSC this summer has officially been lifted by USFSA! We are so thankful for the support and commitment of our members for working through this along with the Board. We are confident moving forward and will continue to keep in contact with USFSA when questions or issues arise.

Weekly Quote:

"Develop an attitude of gratitude, and give thanks for everything that happens to you, knowing that every step forward is a step toward achieving something bigger and better than your current situation." - Brian Tracy

Here's to a great day, week and year ahead!
